I am so excited for Fall and I am especially excited to create and share with ya’ll my Fall Mantle. The warm colors just make my home feel so inviting and cozy. I just want to stay in my pajamas, drink some warm (or cold) apple cider and read a good book, you know because I need ANOTHER reason to want to do that.
I don’t put up a ton of Fall decorations in September because I take it all down to make my house haunted for Halloween the end of September, but I do put out a few things, mainly on my mantle. I love redoing my mantle for the holidays. Once of my must haves when we were buying our house was a fireplace. I am currently working updating the old dated tile on our Fireplace and I plan on putting shiplap on the wall being the mantle.
The Fireplace separates the living room and the dining room/keeping room so you can see through it to both sides. It is also right near the doorway to the keeping room which can make it hard to put furniture next to it. Right now I am loving having my chair there.
I got the adorable Gather Bunting banner from Target for $3. I Love shopping at Target for my holiday decorations. Especially for banners to decorate with. This Banner is the perfect addition to the Fall Mantle.
I found this amazing old window hiding in a corner of a thrift store in Utah years ago. It had one broken window pane but that didn’t stop me from making it mine. I broke out the rest of the pieces and made it a focal piece in my home.
The lighting in our house is terrible and we are working on cutting down some trees to let more natural light in, but for now I have to live with the very yellow, washed out lighting. At least it’s keeping in time with the warmth of Fall, right? Trying to stay positive about the lighting. Is it working?
I have finished putting up more of my Fall decorations and am excited to be share my Fall Home Tour with you in a blog hop the beginning of October, so stay tuned for that.
