Halloween is one of my absolute FAVORITE holidays. However celebrating all the fun this year was a bit harder than I would have liked, Between being pregnant and super sick most of the time, me going to Alabama to look at houses and packing to move we had a more low-key Halloween then usual.
We did get a chance to do one of my favorite Halloween activities, Pumpkin Picking at Gilcrease Orchard. The kids have a blast looking for pumpkins and I have a blast watching them and taking pictures. Seriously, fall is my favorite and the pictures taken in Fall are even better.
We left the boy’s football games and quickly jetted over to the Orchard with only 30 minutes to hunt for pumpkins. That seems to be our life now that the kids are all getting bigger and doing more activities… jetting from one thing to the next.
Aowyn wanted to match me so she and I were Cleopatra for Halloween, I think she chose this because she knew she could wear lots of make up. Usually I make the kids costumes if they want me too but I literally was throwing up sick most of the time that I did have the energy to do much besides pack, and even that was a chore. Braddoc was a Shark and Noah was his victim. Raptor Wrangler, Star Lord, Shark and Cleopatra. Right before Halloween she decided that she wanted to use her Ariel dress and one of my wigs and be Ariel instead.
The kids love decorating (and eating) their Halloween cookies.
Aowyn ended up breaking her collar bone while running in Ariel heels during her preschool Halloween party so the days leading up to Halloween were interesting to say the least. Poor thing was in so much pain. I was so bummed to be moving and not get to decorate for Halloween (that makes two years of moving at Halloween and not being able to decorate, man am I looking forward to next year when I can finally bring out all my decorations again.
