It’s that time of year again and I’m not talking about Christmas.
Its birthday interview time. Aowyn turned 5 on December 1st so we made some time to do her 5th birthday interview. She hates for me to stop her from playing to ask her to do anything so it was like I was pulling her teeth out just getting her to answer the questions. A little bribery went into the event just so I could get her to answer the questions, bribery is the tool that I pull out of my back pocket on occasions like this.
Its so much fun to see how much they have grown and changed each year. I love seeing what is different about them and what has stayed the same. I usually start doing their interviews around the age of 4 so that they can really answer the questions without a lot of help. Its super cute to see what their answers are when they are younger too.
She didn’t even want to stop long enough to take a picture. You can’t hardly pry her away from playing these days. She loves playing with her Barbies and watching movies on my phone while hiding under a blanket. (she also HATES to clean up her messes but has no problem helping with other tasks around the house). She has had a lot of stomach troubles lately so we ended up pulling her out of preschool and have been doing lessons at home.
She is a bit of a stinker and throws some epic fits but she is also the sweetest little girly girl I could ever ask for. She sings almost constantly and breaks out into dance frequently. It’s not uncommon to walk into a room and see her standing in front of the mirror or window dancing or to hear her sining sweetly in another room. She loves to wear my super tall high heels and is an expert walker when it comes to them. She loves dresses and leggings and comes up with the most off the wall creative outfits. She says she is never moving out because she always wants to live with me forever and if I ever talk to her about her growing up or being a mom she gets angry because she doesn’t want to talk about ever not living with me. She is tender and loving and wants to take care of everyone. She is a fabulous sister and devotes almost all of her time to her brothers.
I can’t image life without this Princess in it. She has changed me in so many ways and is the perfect only girl to our crazy boy filled family. She makes me laugh constantly because she has the biggest, goofiest personality. This little lady is definitely the clown of the family and we all love to be around her. Her laugh is contagious and she is always laughing. It’s not hard to make her laugh and when she does laugh you can’t help but smile and join in. She has the biggest laugh I’ve ever heard and it always brings true joy into my heart when I hear her laughing because you can just hear the pure child like joy in her laugh. She takes life by the horns and lives life happily to its fullest. She can be timid and shy at first but once she gets to know you she will be your best friend and give you every ounce of love she can. She truly loves with her whole heart and it’s an absolute joy to watch how she navigates the world around her. I am constantly learning from her and I hope she never looses her zeal and love for the world around her.
