Every year on the kids birthdays (starting at age 3) I ask them 20 questions (the same 20 questions). I interview them one on one so it’s just the two of us having a little alone time together. I try to have daddy in with us but his schedule is so crazy that sometimes its just me and the child and he will read them later.
I love to see the difference in their answers every year. I am been terrible about posting their answers and this year I said I would get better at that. So since our Summer birthdays are over I figured I would post the boys answers for this years Birthday Questions.
I ended up changing up a few questions a few years ago because we also do back to school interviews and some of the questions were the same (and since all my boys birthdays are in the Summer it was too close of time to ask the same question.)
Questions I changed:

I love to hear how their answers change and see how much their answers match their personalities. It’s also fun to realize that you might not have known something you thought you knew about your kids. I don’t try to coax answers out of them, I write down exactly what they say, even if its crazy (like Favorite food: chicken with peanut butter). I also will sometimes write next to it the answer that I know it is (favorite food: Cheese). If they are unsure of the question I do help them understand what I am asking. The kids also love it when I go back and read them answers from previous years. We both end up laughing hysterically at some of the answers or reminiscing about past events or friends.
