JORD Wood Men’s Watch Giveaway and Pumpkin Patch

November 8, 2016 by Finding your joy in the journey

Men’s Watches are a thing of beauty. And they make a great gift for those hard to shop for men in your life. If your husband is anything like my husband then he is HARD to shop for. Every year for his birthday and Christmas he usually gets some sort of sports shirts and the kids stock him up on his favorite candy. He doesn’t want much and doesn’t need much.

The one consistent thing that he is always telling me he wants however is a watch. He tells me often that women get jewelry to choose from and accessorize with and men get watches. He loves watches. Watches are his way of accessorizing and putting his personal spin on the plain jane work attire. He is always admiring other people’s watches and pointing out to me watches that he things are amazing. Men’s watches really are the icing on the cake for their outfits. Women have earnings, necklaces, and bracelets etc., Men have watches.

Wood Men's Watch

He recently discovered Jord Wood watches and spent a good solid hour browsing the site looking for watches he wanted. He gave me a hefty wish list and eventually settled on the Gorgeous Zebrawood and Dark Sandalwood Watch. I have to admit I was a bit smitten with this watch myself. I have always been intrigued by the inner works of watches and I LOVE that you can see the workings of this watch right there on the face. Watching the gears click, spin and move is the stuff of my dreams. I totally want to steal this watch from him, do you think he would notice?

The back of the watch even boasts a gorgeous glass face where you can see the gears ticking as well. We both literally sat and marveled at the intricate details that surrounded this watch when it arrived in the mail. There was definitely no expense spared when it came to making this watch. It’s the most gorgeous piece of craftmanship built into a tiny little package. The wooden band and watch face are smooth and handsome. A watch can totally be handsome right? I sure hope so because this one is.Wood Men's WatchWhen the watch arrived it was sitting on a little burlap pillow, nestled in a ornatly carved box with a secret drawer. Not only was the watch itself a work of art but the package it came in was pretty fabulous too. I love how the Zebrawood and Sandalwood accent each other. They really make a bold statement when paired together.

We decided it was time to put the watch to the true test of Fatherhood so Noah wore it to the pumpkin patch when we took the kids to get their Fall Pumpkins. It’s Fynnocks first Fall and he wasn’t sure what to think about all the Pumpkins. He decided pretty quickly that the pumpkin needed to be in his mouth, like everything else.

The kids all ran around looking for Pumpkins for him and decided that every single little pumpkin was just so cutie wootie like Fynnock so it needed to be his.Wood Men's watchOf course we had to do the customary baby pose with the Pumpkins. This baby of mine is so delicious. I want to squeeze his cheeks and kiss those lips. I don’t know about you but for me little baby cheeks and little baby hands are just about the cutest thing around. Plus this Watch is gorgeous out in the Pumpkin Patch with all the beautiful Fall colors. Even here in the South where the weather still isn’t cold yet, its still starting to look like Fall.

Real men push strollers full of kids (and pumpkins) while looking sexy in there watches. Out of all the watches my husband has ever owned I can without a doubt say that this is my favorite watch, it looks so sleek and manly while still being elegant and classy. It can go with any outfit and fits his personality perfectly. There are so many watches to choose from on the JORD Wood Watches website, for both men and women that I don’t think anyone would have an easy time choosing just one. I want one for myself and I’m pretty sure your husband is going to want one too.

And guess what? You are in luck because Jord and I have teamed up to host a GIVEAWAY!! One lucky reader will receive a $75 credit to use towards a watch of your choice from JORD WOOD WATCHES. And on top of that, everyone is a winner because anyone who participates will receive a credit for $20 off their order as well. The only problem you will have is deciding which watch you want for your husband (and yourself).

The contest ends 11/13/16 so hurry over to enter: https://www.woodwatches.com/g/findingyourjoyinthejourney . The codes will be good until 2/28/17.

This comes at a perfect time for the holidays. You don’t have to worry about what to get your hard to shop for husband now. Get him a gift that he will love and can use all the time. The watch is uniquely made and really one of a kind.

On the website they state that: The value of a watch is not in being able to tell how much time has passed, but in being aware of the need to make that time count. Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time. And I totally agree!! My time with my family and my children is passing me by so quickly, I want a watch that does more than tell the time but also reminds me of how to spend my valuable time.

Head on over to enter this amazing contest:  https://www.woodwatches.com/g/findingyourjoyinthejourney.

Id also love it if you would tell me in the comments what your favorite watch is. The website is so fun to browse because it tells you all about the different glasses, gears and woods used in each watch. I spend quite a bit of time myself on the website just reading up on all that amazing watches they have to offer.

There are so many very cool watches. I found five that I liked for both Robert and myself. There is not enough space to put down all ten that I would love to see in person.

    Words to live by

“Give your child a compliment and a hug; say, ‘I love you’ more; always express your thanks. Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Friends move away, children grow up, loved ones pass on. It’s so easy to take others for granted, until that day when they’re gone from our lives and we are left with feelings of ‘what if’ and ‘if only.’ … “Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey and share our love with friends and family. One day, each of us will run out of tomorrows. Let us not put off what is most important.” - President Thomas S. Monson
