Caution picture overload cause it’s just so pretty.
The hutch transformation is just a thing of beauty. BB Frosch made this project so much fun and really turned my dream into a reality for a price I could afford and in a reasonable amount of time. DREAM.COME.TRUE!!!
See the first steps I took to transform the piece in Part 1 here
Who doesn’t love a before and after!!!??? AHHHH look at the gorgeousness of her!!!!
I was not sure what hardware I was doing on the little drawers so I did not fill in the holes. When I realized that I wanted them to be library drawer pulls, I needed a quick fix to hide the holes that were still there after I attached the drawer pulls. I got them for a steal of a deal on Amazon, 30 pulls with the screws for $22.00.
I ended up cutting down a piece of scrapbook paper to put in the card spot.
I love the way the look turned out.
I also painted some Mason jars Ombre using the BB Frosch chalk paint powder mix. I did the same white and gray that I used on the hutch. I love how they contrast and match at the same time.
I installed the two small side drawer handles and then went on the hunt for the rest of the handles to match but contrast as well on the center drawers.
I love how pretty the white plates look up against the gray back drop.
Y’all!!!!!
I mean really?! Just look at her. She is glorious! I ended up getting drawer pulls for the smaller center drawers and twine covered handles for the bigger middle drawer. I got all of the handles at Hobby Lobby when they had their hardware 50% off. Those are my favorite sales!!!
Not much needs to be said about how beautiful this piece turned out. She does not even look like the same piece. Such a huge change.
I love how well she matches with the rest of the dining room.
The crisp white makes sure a huge statement. I am SOOO glad I went with a different color on the back then the rest of the piece. I feel like the gray really helps the white dishes pop.
Most of the dishes I have been collecting from Thrift Stores, Home Goods, World Market and Antique stores for a few years. I still need to find a white plate to go in the top left alcove.
I love how well the handles match but don’t all at the same time.
I’m pretty sure it’s not possible to show too many pictures of this lady in all her glory. She reminds me of Cinderella… does that make me her Fairy Godmother? Thankfully she won’t change back at midnight.
Another before and after because…. well just because.
If you didn’t tell me it was the same piece I would not have believed you! Man she is pretty.

You should totally try it. Ive found that the price for BB Frosch is by far the most cost effective. Once I found it and started using it I fell in love and want to paint ALL.THE.THINGS!! I literally am painting a new piece every other day (sometimes daily). Lol so only start if you want to get addicted.

Wow! Just wow! This after is BEAUTIFUL.
I’m getting the nerve up to try my hand and chalk painting on my kitchen cabinets and this post has given me that nudge I was looking for.
What a beautiful transformation and the little details are wonderful. Thanks for linking up at the Bloggers Brags party, I pinned your post to our group board.
It’s so beautiful! How did you do the dark stained table top part of the hutch?
I used brown chalk paint and did a wet wash technique and then sealed it with dark wax. I have a tutorial if you are interested in how to do the staining technique. http://findingyourjoyinthejourney.com/staining-with-paint/
